Negroamaro is the most known grape varieties and it is in 13 of the 28 DOC of Puglia. Its origins as well as its name are uncertain. In fact, it is thought that its name may come both from dialect words ( niuru maru ) and from the combination between the Latin word niger and the Greek one mavros , both indicating the typical black colour of the grapes. DieciAnni Negroamaro has an intense red colour with marked fragrances of plum and cherry.
